| Ali G or Borat? Who is Who? |
With the recent movie “Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan” many people have been wondering exactly who Borat is. People who watched Da Ali G Show on HBO were already aware of Sasha Baron Cohen and his antics. Not to mention that Ali G and Borat are the same person essentially. However, the majority of the world seems to have been taken by surprise by the recent movie and its amazing success.
That’s probably because not everyone watches Da Ali G Show on HBO so the majority of the country was unaware of whom Ali G/Borat really was. In reality, these characters are played by Sasha Baron Cohen. The show and the movie are based on America and mocking everybody and everything possible. The satire is hysterical to many individuals, yet for some Da Ali G Show as well as the new Borat movie is too much.
In fact, since the Borat movie made such a splash across America there have been many claims about the individuals portrayed in the movie not knowing what kind of consent form they were signing. The reason there is so much upset is because quite a few people came across looking very bad due to their actions and words. Now, there are all kinds of lawsuits against the producers of the Borat movie. However, the nation is split. Some people support the movie and believe that if an individual signed a consent form they should have at least read it first. So, any embarrassing actions in the movie by certain individuals were their own fault. On the other hand, the other part of the nation is appalled at the movie and now Da Ali G Show for its satirical approach to America in general.
Regardless, both Da Ali G Show and the Borat movie have been big hits and they are certainly finding plenty of fans and a place on the news. Now, when you hear about Borat, Ali G, or even Sasha Baron Cohen you will know who is who and just might become a fan yourself, or not!
